I don not know what does this abreviation R/O states for?What's R/O pneumonia?
It stands for rule out. The doctor thinks you may hold pneumonia, but he is waiting for test or X-ray results since he gives you a diagnosis of pneumonia. Ususally, the doctor will progress ahead and begin treatment while the test/x-rays are until.

R/O is the medical short way around for rule out. Most medical test enjoy to have an indication noted for the question paper to be done. Many times a doctor will use this in lay down to give point for the test but not giving the diagnosis.
If at hand is no indication or reason, insurance companies, medicare and medicaid will not foot.
