Whats the difference between augmentin and Amoxcicillin?

Whats the difference between augmentin and Amoxcicillin?
Amoxicillin is an antibiotic derived from penicillin.
Augmentin is a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulnic Acid.
Clavulnic Acid is a drug that inhibits (or prevents) beta-lactamase enzymes. These enzymes are produced by some bacteria and they inactivate penicillin-type drugs.
So, the Clavulnic acerbic works hand within hand beside amoxicillin. One fights the enzymes from the microbes. Once the enzymes are no longer working, then the amoxicillin comes surrounded by to fight the actual microbes. Hope that helps!
PRICE! the Augmentin is the brand label.. amox is the generic
they are 2 different types of antibiotics that work for different kinds of infections.
Augmentin contains Amoxicilin and Clavulanate.
Amoxicilin is Amoxicilin
